A Dance

Ballrooms and gowns

Chandeliers and wine cups

A hall of grandiose and splendour

stunning he awed;

Dance with me

she chuckled

pulling his arm

while swaying so merrily

 with charm;

and he did

even if he wasn’t one great dancer

unlike she;

the laughter

the awkward flows

the toes stepping

what a night he beamed

what a beautiful night;

and not for the magnificent hall

or refined ambience

but for the sight before;

A dance so enchanting

a moment so endearing

even 10 years down

this dance

will still be

as vivid

like now.
